Margate Gives Nod To Caggiano and Schwartz
Voters picked Anthony Caggiano, the vice chairman of the city's Planning & Zoning Board, to fill the seat of a retiring commissioner.
In his second run for office, Caggiano beat three challengers to replace Frank Talerico, who served after more than two decades on the commission.
"I am ecstatic," Caggiano said Tuesday night, who said his campaign was about "accountability."
"This is a victory for the people of Margate. This is a victory for somebody who feels their money should be treated with respect and I will ...make sure every dollar is spent wisely," he said. "Our city needs a facelift. Our city deserves better, and I'm going to make sure every single person in this city feels we are doing a better job."
